THE LAND
Set on 14 hectares of lush land, our farm is a place where nature's beauty and potential come alive.
A regenerative farm nestled between two pristine rivers, with natural spring water, primary forest, and a waterfall just steps away.

With the majority of our land preserved as primary and secondary forest, we care for a diverse ecosystem while tending to mature fruit trees and exploring new ways of achieving interdependence. We are working toward a regenerative farm system — a chicken coop, perennial-focused agroforestry, themed gardens, greenhouses, bio-factories for compost and bio-ferments.
Situated between two pristine rivers, fed by natural spring water and gravity — nourishing every corner of our home.
These pure water sources sustain our crops, gardens, and feed the vibrant energy of a nearby waterfall. We are far from perfect and embrace a "learning by doing" approach — always striving to listen and be better for the land.

HOW WE BUILT IT
Our home was built with love, passion, and the support of countless helping hands — both human and animal. Nestled off-grid in the mountains, we turned to the land and our community for guidance and resources.
During the COVID pandemic, we began stewarding the land — and uncovered hidden treasures.
Fallen native hardwood trees — Manu Negro, Nispero, Serri, Sapodilla buried for 30+ years. Some slowly rotting, others in remarkable condition. It felt like uncovering a gold mine waiting to be rediscovered.
With the help of bulls and donkeys, we transported these precious woods to create the main spaces of our home. Nearly all the wood used in our infrastructure came directly from fallen trees on the land — each piece carrying a story and a connection to this place.
Staying in harmony with the land, we built as naturally as possible, guided by what the land was capable of offering.

Our Jungle Cabin: A Natural Building Masterpiece
A collaboration with skilled natural builders during Playtopia — using as many materials from the land as possible.
From the river, we carried stones to lay a solid foundation. Fallen trees provided the timber. The earth from our excavation became the walls.
Recycled glass bottles and hand-crafted earthen art, infused with natural pigments, bring light and vibrancy to the design. The journey has been a dance of creativity, effort, and surrender — a testament to the power of community and nature working in harmony.
And the story isn't over yet. This cabin is still in the making — stay tuned.

Our Sculpted Bench:
A Celebration of Earth Art
During Art of Mud, we came together with skilled natural builders and artists to create a sculptural earthen bench — a beautiful blend of creativity, tradition, and community spirit.
Over eight days, participants immersed themselves in working with cob, clay, and lime plaster, learning techniques from mixing and shaping to carving and finishing. Relief sculptures, graffiti designs, and natural pigments brought the bench to life with texture and story.
The bench now sits proudly at Protopia — a reminder of the beauty that emerges when art, nature, and community meet.
