The Honey House

The heart of Protopia: An open gathering space where everything happens. Meals, conversations, work, and the quiet moments in between.
Designed to keep you close to nature whether it's sunshine or rain outside.
The Honey House is over 300 m2. Includes a 100 m2 kitchen where a lot of magic and fun happens. Another 100 m2 is the living room and a co-working space. The entrance part has two spaces; the bottom, a newly-built earth couch—smooth, comfortable, and the most loved furniture in Protopia; and on top there is a loft made for relaxing—lots of cushions. The Honey House has a view of the far-away Lake Nicaragua and is surrounded by gardens.
The Play House

A 150-square-meter open-air platform overlooking Tenorio Volcano and Lake Nicaragua. Built for movement, party, and whatever your body needs.
Optional morning sessions. Nothing mandatory — everything available.
The Play House is where many workshops and movement sessions happen — yoga, boxing, bodyweight training, or just stretching in silence. The platform overlooks Tenorio Volcano. When it's empty, it's one of the quietest spots on the property. It's a space dedicated to movement and tranquility, though it can be used as people choose. the best place to enjoy the sunsets.
Fire Place

The main fireplace seats over 40 people and sits at the center of the community's evening life. Some nights there's live music, deep conversation, ceremonies, and fire shows. Some nights, it's quiet — just the fire and the jungle sounds. Protopia also has a smaller, more intimate fireplace near the kitchen for relaxing after a long day.

Cabins offer the most private and luxurious Protopia experience. A private space with a private bathroom. Enclosed with glass for visibility, but protected form unwanted insects. Great for couples!

Rooms at Protopia are designed for rest and rejuvenation: Built from natural materials, with the jungle right outside your window. Bathrooms and showers are shared and kept simple, just a short walk from your room. You’ll spend most of your time outside your room — but when you need to retreat, it’s there.
